The Bulletin of the Center for Children's
Books:
The Bulletin Dozen
The
Bulletin Dozen is a monthly theme-based list of titles. Since we're
awfully fond of bakers here at the Bulletin, we thought we'd adopt their
philosophy of generosity and throw in an extra one or two when we have them to
offer. Please feel free to copy, download, or link to these
lists. We ask only that you cite the source.
On Beyond Waldo: Picture Trickery
Poring over pictures to find the tricks, hidden treasures, and secret
jokes is, for some of us, one of the great pleasures of illustration. For
junior readers who agree, reviewer Elizabeth Bush has compiled a
collection of books to provide plenty of opportunities for close scrutiny and visual gamesmanship.
