The Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books |
| The Bulletin Dozen is a monthly theme-based booklist
available as an online-only Bulletin feature. Since we're awfully
fond of bakers here at the Bulletin, we thought we'd adopt their
philosophy of generosity and throw in an extra one or two when we have them
to offer--so don't expect an even dozen. Please feel free to copy, download,
or link to these lists. We ask only that you cite the source. See the archive for lists from previous months.

| Intergalactic Itineraries Do you know kids who are tired of the usual vacation destinations? Do they yawn at the thought of Paris, London, New York and Hong Kong? Are they feeling just a bit too earthbound these days? Do they ever express a desire to soar beyond the clouds? If the answer to any or all of these questions is yes, then take a look this month’s Dozens. We offer up fifteen exciting itineraries from which young people can choose. Some are classic, well-traveled routes, like the trip to the Mushroom Planet or Camazotz. For those who like to eat or cook, a weekend jaunt to Nextoo with caterers Moe and Shirley might be more to taste. Remember that half the fun is getting there, and choices of transport abound: spaceships, intergalactic automobiles, board games await. Book ahead to get in the one last trip before school starts! |
