Each month we choose a favorite quote--something fun or something to make you think. See the archive for quotes from previous months.

The only way I can remember what happened to me as a kid is by remembering
what book I was reading at the time. By reading books and writing, I
explored what it meant to be other people. Or maybe what it meant to be
me. And how to lie to tell the truth. And how to reveal things by
concealing them, or maybe how to conceal things by revealing them. It was
confusing, but the only thing on TV was Starsky and Hutch.
