Welcome to the homepage of The Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books, one of the nation's leading children's book review journals for school and public librarians.

Our monthly features celebrate the season, starting with our Big Picture, John Rocco's Blizzard, the tale of an intrepid little youngster who straps on snow shoes and rallies his sled when his family is snowed in. Our Dozens is a festive list of recent holiday favorites while our quote of the month highlights the strength and power of nature in the winter months. Also, grab some hot chocolate and enjoy the titles we starred this month!

The gift giving season is in full swing, so take a look at our updated and revised 2014 Guide Book to Gift Books. Over three hundred titles, annotated and organized by age group, will help you select the perfect books for giving and receiving (you can even download the PDF to your smartphone and have it on hand while shopping).

The Bulletin staff will release our selections for the best books of 2014 on January 1st, but while you're waiting, be sure to make sure you're cuaght with our 2013 Blue Ribbon award winners, the titles that earned our regards as best books of the last year.

Check out the Stellar Series list! We've highlighted some notable series that come highly recommended and have at least three volumes, the most recent of which has been published in the last twelve months. Happy reading!
