Just in time for Mother's Day, this month's Big Picture celebrates the tenacity and protectiveness of mothers everywhere in true picture-book form as it focuses on a Mama Squirrel and her efforts to keep her babies safe from hungry predators using, what else, nuts. Meanwhile, the heroine of another picture book is dealing with some badly behaving beans in our quote of the month, and our biographical Dozen takes a look at the VIPs of history.
